Dr. Hoi Yee (Emily) Chui L.Ac., DAOM, Dipl. O.M. (NCCAOM)
received her Doctoral degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Five Branches University in San Jose, CA.
She is both California and National board certified to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine. Prior becoming licensed to practice, she has traveled to China and completed an externship program at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. During the externship, she studied in the Internal Medicine Department and the Galvano-Acupuncture Department at Wang Jing Hospital. In her doctoral study, she specialized in women's health and pain management.
Emily has been interested in Classical texts throughout her educational career. She studies and attends seminars to explore Chinese medical Classics at her free time. Emily has not only studied with some top acupuncturists and herbalists in the US but also the best TCM doctors in China. Emily specializes in women’s health and emotional wellbeing. Conditions under these categories can show up as pain, digestive issues, sleeping disorders, and stress, which are all closely related to one another. In her practice, Emily implements classical theories into treating modern living health issues using gentle acupuncture styles and herbal protocols.
Emily is involved with Acupuncture Without Borders, where she is in training to provide auricular acupuncture in community clinics. Additionally, having an enthusiasm in spiritual medicine, she studies and practices Qi Gong. In her free time, she likes to travel with her family.
Emily speaks fluent English, Cantonese, and conversational Mandarin. Practicing in the city of San Carlos in the SF Bay Area, she enjoys providing the community with highest quality of care to maintain their health in a balanced state.
Maddie and Nicolette are our administrative medical assistants. Maddie is currently pursuing her nursing career and has a passion in the health care field while Nicolette is pursuing a career in acupuncture. They both will be available to answer any admin questions and schedule appointments.
